Saving Academia Time and Money

We all know the score in modern academia: publish or perish! Yet many academics do not realise how much faster they can acquire data using automated fluorescent microscopy. Imagine replacing ten 6 lane Western blots with one 96 well plate. This means you can examine many more treatment conditions simultaneously. Furthermore, all this information can be obtained in a few hours and unlike a Western, automated fluorescence microscopy can be multiparametric which means you get much more information from one assay. On a Western, you may see no change with your treatment yet with High Content Biology, that very uninteresting protein maybe redistributing itself within the cell. In fact, this is the exact principle used in our unique dual-stain apoptosis assay.

We can also save you money
We understand that academic study sizes are much smaller than their industrial counterparts. Therefore, we offer our Staining Only service at a flat rate of £240 per 60 well plate (1 colour) independent of study size. This price matches the minimum full study price we offer industry for study sizes of 15,000 wells or over and it means you are only paying £4 per well.

Furthermore, if you already have a fully developed fluorescence microscopy assay and simply want to use our equipment and analysis expertise to convert it into a High Content Biology assay, then you can supply us the fixed and stained plates and we will run them on our instrument and perform all the required analysis returning the data to you in our PlateMaker Wizard format for only £98 per plate (1 colour).

The Staining and Analysis only options mean that the savings you make over using more traditional methods can be substantial. For example, one of our customers recently calculated that it would cost him £2,744* and take 5 weeks to generate 60 data points in house. Using our service he can get the same amount of data for just £288 (3 colours). Our pricing structure for Academic and Non-Profit organisations is shown in the table below:
